Bob Preston, AUAN President, Banned for insulting Irish ex Pats.

Uncategorized - Posted on August 9th, 2008 by Alondra

We have received a pm from an extremely angry Irish ex-Pat who has received an email from his developer explaining that due to racial harassment of their Irish staff combined with the intimidating behaviour towards their female workers that Bob Preston has been banned from having anything more to do with them.

It is common knowledge that Bob has upset the Spanish with his “confrontational attitude” and even the poor old  Freemasons got it in the neck around Christmas time, but this is a new low, even for Bob Preston. Bob, referring to members of the Irish ex-Pat community, as ex Spud-Chuckers simply isn’t acceptable these days.  For someone who claims to represent an organisation that is working for all, you are doing a fine job of alienating anyone who isn’t English (Bob there are many English who are ashamed of you, I know I am.) Although we note from the AUAN website that the AUAN” is open to both UK nationals and Spanish alike” precluding one would assume Irish and other nationalities. We thought we had seen an end to this sort of racialism and bigotry. Sadly, “No Blacks, No Irish, No Dogs”, would still appear an acceptable adage within the lower strata of the ex-Pat community.

Poor old Maura Hillen (AUAN Webmaster) must feel that Bob Preston has made her the proverbial Irish Joke.

If you are an Irish ex Pat, or simply want to make your opinion known about men who like to frighten women, on this occasion we will not censor your comments as we would like Bob and the AUAN to know just what ordinary decent folk really think of him and an organisation that continues to support him and defend his disgusting behaviour.

Who does this bastard Preston think he is calling us ex Spud Chucker’s and what’s this crap that his AUAN is open to UK residents and Spanish alike. Stick your association up your arse you ignorant, bigoted turds. I’ll see you on the Playa, and if I chuck something at you it wont be a f*****g potato.

Lenox Napier of the Spanish Shilling has, as usual, jumped to the defence of the AUAN and Bob Preston without any attempt to investigate what has happened or regards for the truth or the facts. We are beginning to think that there must be something more to Napier’s apparent blind loyalty. For your information we have reproduced Prestons email in its entirety as forwarded to us by our readers. It is sad that Napier would even attempt to defend Prestons racisim and the derogatory language he uses against the Irish. We will on this occasion give Napier the benefit of the doubt, and hope for a retraction, now he has the necessary information. If he doesn’t we must accept that he condones such language, and the disgraceful racialist attitude of Bob Preston, President of the AUAN.

Shame you didn’t use your ‘necessary background, knowledge and education’ to avoid selling illegal (sorry….. irregular) houses in the first place.
Just another poke. Do you want to do this, or be serious?
Anyone can create a Blog, or a web site. It isn’t difficult. Ex spud-chuckers can even do it. Me. I prefer to deal with the REAL issues.

There is no doubt that the Ex pat community need a common voice and when it was done under Bob Naya it was united and somewhat effective if sometimes a little naïve. However under Preston the AUAN membership has dwindled and they have achieved nothing under his leadership. The hardcore membership make excuses for his language and his antics while the moderates, the ones who could make a difference, leave disappointed and disillusioned. Lenox and others like him have to realize that the majority of ex-Pats will not unite under the leadership of a man like Preston. Most are, rightly, embarrassed at the very mention of his name.

If Lenox thinks the way forward is a united voice, then on that we can agree, however he must accept that a change of the AUAN leadership is required to bring this about. The only remarkable thing about the postings on this Blog is that they are fact. What we think is incredible is that people, Lenox included, would appear to defend this character Preston. Bob attacks minority groups and his toadies either lie and deny it or excuse it by claiming no real offence was meant. To paraphrase Bob Preston It is time to Grow up and GET REAL, offensive behaviour and racial slurs are not acceptable to the majority of people. You really need to ask yourselves is his language and behaviour likely to foster local relations or divide the community. To us at the Blog the answer is obvious however it is ultimately the membership of the AUAN that will have to decide. We can only hope that there are enough moderates left to bring about the change the AUAN and the ex Pat community need to allow us to move forward united and with a common voice.
